Disability in the Chilean constitutional process

This article provides an overview of the constitution-making process currently developing in Chile from a disability perspective, focusing particularly on led by so-called ‘Constitutional Convention’. First, we describe measures taken to include persons with disabilities composition constitutional body tasked writing new constitution and how could participate construction as matter. Then, focus several provisions proposal for elaborated Constitutional Convention that refer rights disabilities. It is argued although drafted was ultimately rejected, it must not be considered irrelevant protection Chile. Both substantive procedural reasons, offers solid ground advance issue.
